YANGZIJIANG Shipbuilding's prospects have been boosted by the granting of a licence to enter the lucrative liquefied natural gas carrier market, according to analysts.The shipbuilder is the first private yard in China to have obtained a licence from containment systems specialist GTT for the construction of LNG vessels using the French company's Mark III membrane technologies. "We believe Yangzijiang is well positioned to secure its maiden LNG carrier order with this GTT accreditation and their earlier delivery slots in 2025," DBS said in a research report.
