SHIPPERS and beneficial cargo owners could see a fall in shipping costs of between 55% and 85% compared with 2022 as they conclude annual contract negotiations. "This is the largest year-on-year reduction in shipping costs for at least seven years," said Drewry Supply Chain Advisors head Philip Damas. "This year and next year, logistics leaders have a chance to make a big contribution to their company's bottom line by reducing costs at a time of difficult trading conditions."
