The advantage of growing plants in greenhouses or even indoor farms is the level of control that growers can have over the climate, usually enabling them to grow crops which would not normally be viable from open field production at that time of yearor in that location. Manipulating the climate also allows a certain degree of manipulation of the plant, for example to drive flowering or fruiting and therefore boost economic yield.
