Lomma—Nexam Chemical has received the first patent in Reactive Recycling technology in Sweden, a method that increases the use of recycled polypropylene. The technology "works great" for mechanical recycling and will reduce the use of virgin plastic in the manufacture of new products, the company noted, without providing further details. The process for corresponding patent protection in other countries is ongoing.
