The speakers built into TVs can be disappointing. The limited space within modern wafer-thin TV sets often compromises sound for higher picture quality and a slicker appearance. A case in point is the Hisense 50A7GQTUK TV we reviewed in Issue 627, which is affordable and has a great picture, but is slightly let down by its audio. Some justification for this is that audio is relatively easy to fix, and you can get a significant boost from a decent soundbar without having to spend a small fortune. This Hisense HS214 Soundbar is a brilliant example, and would make an excellent companion speaker to a Hisense TV.
