AVERY large crude carrier purchased by the United Nations Development Programme has set out from China to avert a catastrophic oil spill that had been looming for years. After regular maintenance and modifications, the VLCC Nautica (IMO: 9323948) left drydock in Zhoushan on April 9 and is expected to arrive in the Red Sea in early May, UNDP said on its website.
