Shanghai— Covestro has begun production at its new plant for poly-urethane elastomers systems at its Covestro Integrated Site Shanghai (CISS) in China. The facility, which required an investment in the double-digit million Euro range, is expected to meet the growing demand for elastomers in the Asia-Pacific region. Capacity was not given. It is the twelfth plant at the CISS, the company's single largest production site worldwide.
