Berlin— Aker Carbon Capture has been awarded a feasibility study by Rohm for the development of two carbon capture plants in Germany. The feasibility study covers carbon capture in Rohm's major production regions in Germany, with an overall capture capacity of nearly 500,000 t/y of carbon dioxide (C02). The collaboration combines Aker Carbon Capture's amine technology and Rohm's experience in manufacturing methyl methacrylate-based products. It aims to support the decarbonization goals of Rohm and the German industry, while the study also strengthens Aker Carbon Capture's presence in the maturing German market, Aker Carbon Capture noted.
