Houston- OCI NV said it has broken ground on the "largest" blue ammonia production facility of its kind in Beaumont, Texas (PCN, 10 Oct 2022, p 2). The plant, expected to require an investment of under $l-billion, will have a capacity of 1.1-million t/y of blue ammonia with infrastructure to double capacity to 2.2-million t/y. Production is on track to begin in 2025.
