Cambridgeshire County Council has approved an application to extend the duration of infill at a former sand and gravel quarry until 1 October 2025. Sand and gravel extraction ceased at the site in 2013 and importation of waste began in 2014 after a change in the site's ownership. The proposed works involved filling a depression in agricultural land, creating fish rearing ponds, stabilising the boundaries of a lake to create a bridleway, creating promontories in a lake and infilling a silt pond to improve safety.
