An application to extend the duration of permission for a wellsite and ancillary security compound at North Kelsey Moor has been approved despite local opposition. A permission granted in 2014 for the exploratory drilling and testing for conventional hydrocarbons, not involving hydraulic fracturing, had been lawfully implemented, the council noted. Further permissions were granted in 2018 and 2019 to extend the timescale of operations.
