Moscow-Lukoil announced it has begun supplying solar electricity to its Stavrolen petrochemical plant in Budennovsk, Russia, in order to reduce its carbon footprint. The company is expected to supply approximately 11-million kWh annually from its own solar power plant located at its Volgograd refinery.
