Northampton Machinery has launched a range of modular, space saving backtwist payoffs and twisters alongside a concentric traverse wound tape unit for its SLB800 double twist machine.The payoffs and twisters will give users the option of combining the quality improvement offered by backtwisted cores with an accumulated twinning operation for productivity improvements of up to 50 percent. The SLB800 has been designed for stranding, twinning and the laying up of data cables, including those with Category 6 cruciform separators, and, therefore, the taping unit should provide users with the option of using a different tape lay to the cable lay.
