Biodiesel production rose in early 2023, data from palm oil sector group Gapki show. In February, 816,000 metric tons of palm oil were used for biodiesel production, bringing the January/February total to 1.626 million, up 13% year-over-year. The mandate rose to B-35 from B-30 in early 2023, but local sources pointed to a delay in the roll-out. The January/December 2022 total was 8.842 million tons.
