Baton Rouge-CF Industries and Posco Holdings are evaluating a joint venture to build a low-carbon clean ammonia facility at CF's Blue Point Complex in Ascension Parish, La., along with an ammonia offtake agreement into South Korea. As part of their evaluation, the companies' will initiate a front-end engineering and design study on auto-thermal reforming (ATR) ammonia technology. The FEED study is expected to be completed in the second half of next year, followed by a final investment decision by CF and Posco.
