MyHeritage has released a new collection of 5.8 million Jewish records, sourced from 28 different collections held in New York by the Museum of Jewish Heritage, and its affiliate JewishGen - a non-profit organisation founded in 1987. As well as the UK and Ireland, the collection contains records from Belarus, Bessarabia (in today's Ukraine and Moldova), Germany, Hungary, Latvia, Poland, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and the US. These include birth, marriage and death records, as well as records created during the Holocaust, tax lists, voter rolls, immigration records, and more. For the United Kingdom, the collections include just under 80,000 death and burial records from 1733-2012, while a collection of over 60,000 birth records from Ireland is also available. The collections are a significant addition to MyHeritage, which is based in Israel and hosts the world's largest collection of online Jewish family trees.
