Rayons-BMC Polymers said it has officially launched its fourth polypropylene (PP) production plant at its Map Ta Phut Industrial Complex in Rayong Province, Thailand (PCN, 16 Sept 2019, p 1). The new 250,000-t/y PP line, based on LyondellBaselTs Spherizone technology, increases HMC's PP production capacity to 1.6-million t/y. The line was built next to HMC's third PP plant at the site, and will include the production of specialty grade and differentiated grades.
