In this paper, we calculate the combinatorial rank of the positive part u(q)(+)(g) of the multiparameter version of the small Lusztig quantum group, where g is a simple Lie algebra of type G(2). Supposing that the main parameter of quantization q has multiplicative order t, where t is finite, t > 3, we prove that the combinatorial rank equals 3.
