摘要

This paper presents the results of a study on the biology of the Okhotsk fringed sculpin Porocottus minutus (Pallas, 1814) from Taui Bay, Sea of Okhotsk. This species, which is relatively numerous, has been found to lead a secretive lifestyle in the littoral zone on the bottom composed of medium-grained rock sediments, preferring areas with warmed water, and reaches a body length of 110.0 mm, a body weight of 16.8 g, and an age of 4+ yr. The size and age characteristics are similar between sexes. The major food item of the Okhotsk fringed sculpin is amphipods.
