The chemical composition of samples collected from the asteroid 162173 Ryugu are strikingly similar to the Sun. The result suggests that previously observed discrepancies between Ryugu's composition and that of meteorites known as CI chondrites may be due to the different conditions that they experienced after their formation, rather than a different origin (Science doi:10.1126/ science.abn7850).
