The listings include company name and the location of the headquarters; parent company name, if applicable; current and previous year's rankings; most recent and previous fiscal year sales figures; percentage change in annual sales; primary product specialties; principal officer(s); number of employees and manufacturing plants; as well as the firm's total range of in-house sheetfed and webfed digital and conventional printing process capabilities. The financial information shown for the Printing Impressions 300 rankings was self-reported by publicly-held, privately-held, and employee-owned firms, and we instructed companies to not provide projected/estimated sales figures for fiscal years still in progress. As a result, print providers shown on our list were most often reporting 2021 calendar year revenues as their most recent annual sales figures. Despite our repeated attempts, various privately-held companies do not divulge their annual revenue figures, so they are not on our list. However, we did include Taylor Corp. and the CJK Group - due to their sheer industry size and importance - using estimated sales information based on Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) and other sources. Likewise, LSC Communications reported its sales again this year as two separate companies: LSC Communications and Lakeside Book Co.
