The Maureen Berkeley Award was established in 1966 to perpetuate the dignity, stature, and professional attitude that Maureen Berkeley brought to the profession. Maureen Berkeley was ASET President from 1964 to 1965. Maureen died of cancer in 1966. The Maureen Berkeley Award is given annually for the most outstanding educational article written by a neurodiagnostic technologist or technologists and published in ASET - The Neurodiagnostic Society's journal. Erik Padilla, MBA, R. EEG/EP T, CNIM, CLTM, FASET, and Pat Lordeon, R. EEG T, FASET (not pictured) were selected to receive the 2022 Maureen Berkeley Award for their article "Technical Tips: Restraint Use in Healthcare - What Neurodiagnostic Technologists Need to Know," published in the December 2021 issue of The Neurodiagnostic Journal. Erik and Pat were announced as the Maureen Berkeley Award recipients by ASET President, Adam Kornegay, MBA, LPN, R. EP T., CNIM, FASET during the ASET Conference on August 4, 2022.
