In response to a suggestion received from the ISR readership, the last 12 numbers of ISR have included a series of articles devoted to the basics of ropeway engineering, which Professor Josef Nejez has written for those readers who have no relevant engineering background. This article is the last in this series, and we hope we have succeeded in giving the target group a clear overview of the basics of ropeway engineering.
