摘要

The morphological ontogeny of the oribatid mite Hermanniella septentrionalis Berlese, 1910 is described and illustrated. In the adults of Hermanniella Berlese, 1908, the pattern of notogastral cerotegument is species-specific, but in most species it is unknown which makes it difficult to compare among the species. In the juveniles of H. septentrionalis, most prodorsal setae are of medium size, except for long le in the larva, and long le and in in the nymphs. Most gastronotal setae of juveniles are of medium size, except for longer h_1 and h_2 in the larva, and p_1 and ad_1 in the nymphs. Seta d coupled to a solenidion is present on all genua and tibiae, and in the tritonymph and adult l' is present on femur IV and ft' on tarsus IV.
