One of ELG Haniel's main tasks is to transform incoming batches of varying scraps from sources into a secondary raw material whose composition and properties are exactly defined. This called for a considerable capability to perform high volume/high accuracy chemical analysis. For every charge of scrap dumped on the yard floor, virtually every large structural part must be probed individually.A new raw material is produced by input materials based on the results of chemical analysis. This is achieved by a merging approach rather than by sorting techniques.
