Houston-Oneok announced plans to build a new natural gas liquid (NGL) fractionator at its Mont Belvieu, Texas, facility to produce purity ethane. The 125,000-b/d NGL fractionator, MB-6, will increase the company's total fractionation capacity in Mont Belvieu to around 700,000 b/d and better align its NGL fractionation capacity with demand in the Gulf Coast, Oneok noted. The project, anticipated to cost around $550-million, will take about 24 months to build.
