摘要

A complex of schistose volcanogenic and tuffaceous rocks of basalt-rhyolite composition, distinguished as the Dautskaya Formation in the northernmost part of the Shat Zone of Northern Kazakhstan, was studied. U-Pb (SIMS) geochronological study of felsic volcanic rocks of the upper part of its section was carried out, and an Early Ordovician age estimate (477 ± 2 Ma) was obtained for the first time. The compositional features of effusives and tuffs of basalt-rhyolite composition indicate their formation in a suprasubduc-tion setting within a volcanic island arc.
