Doha— Affiliates of QatarEnergy and ExxonMobil have agreed to independently offtake and market their respective proportionate equity shares of liquefied natural gas (LNG) produced by the Golden Pass LNG export project being built in Sabine Pass, Texas (PCN, 25 Feb 2019, p 3). A joint venture of QatarEnergy and ExxonMobil, the $10-billion Golden Pass project will have a production capacity of 18-million t/y of LNG. Production is expected to begin by the end of 2024.
