The performance of three-bucket Savonius rotor is evaluated by Fluent 6.0 computational fluid dynamics software. Moreover, the physics encompassed in the flow around the rotor is also analyzed with the help of pressure, velocity and vorticity contours. The overlap in the three- bucket savonius rotor has been increased 12 times(9.38%,10.87%,12.38%,13.87%,15.38%,16.88%,21.38%,22.87% ,24.37%,25.87%) in CFD various flow parameters such as dynamic pressure, static pressure, turbulence intensity and vorticity had been studied.
