Q In October 2021, I bought a £470 refurbished Samsung S20+ phone (pictured) from MusicMagpie's store on Amazon, which came with a one-year Amazon guarantee. The Wi-Fi is faulty, but because I work in the Merchant Navy, I could only report this when I returned from sea, some months after purchase. Amazon refuses to give me a refund, saying I must contact Music Magpie, who won't reply to my emails. Can you help? A We'll try, because under the Consumer Rights Act (CRA) -assuming the phone is inherently faulty - Graham is entitled to a repair or a replacement. If these aren't possible, he's due a full refund. Graham is unhappy that Amazon refused his request for a full refund, but more than 30 days had passed since purchase, so it was entitled to reject this, and attempt a repair or send a replacement. However, we understand his frustration at not being able to complain within the first 30 days - and perhaps some companies would have been more understanding of his situation.
