On June 4, the Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC) rejected a request by an environmental group to delay a final decision on the application to increase the capacity of Energy Transfer's 570K-b/d Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL) to 750K b/d. However, the ICC will still have to approve Energy Transfer's application to add pumping stations along the pipeline to increase capacity. The 1,172-mile DAPL delivers crude from Bakken oilfields in the US state of North Dakota to the Patoka Oil Terminal in Illinois.
