Sines-Repsol and the Portuguese government have signed an investment contract for the expansion of Repsol's Sines industrial complex in Portugal(PCN, 27 Sept 2021, p 1). The project, which will be the"largest"industrial investment made in Portugal in the last 10 years, involves construction of a new 300,000-t/y linear polyethylene plant and a 300,000-t/y polypropylene(PP)unit, Repsol noted. Operations are scheduled to begin in 2025.
