Specifically, they are the words of a young woman named Elizabeth 'Elsie' MacGill who, in 1929, took the world of aviation by storm when she earned her masters degree in aeronautical engineering. While this was some accomplishment in itself, Elsie's fame was attributed to much more than this alone.
