摘要

It is widely believed that excess/residual lead iodide (PbI_2) can affect theperformance of perovskite solar cells . Moderate PbI_2 can enhance efficiencyby passivating defects, while extremely active PbI_2 leads to non-negligiblehysteresis effects and reduces device stability. Although several efforts aremade to investigate the role of excess PbI_2, its impact is still underestimated.Recent advances further demonstrate the extraordinary potential of modifyingexcess PbI_2; however, a comprehensive study is required to obtain a deeperunderstanding. Herein, the important breakthroughs regarding excess PbI_2are reviewed and the mechanism of excess PbI_2 in terms of efficiency andstability is rethought. In addition, the origins, verification, and regulation ofresidual PbI_2 are summarized.
