Houston—Cheniere Energy said that its Cheniere Marketing subsidiary has entered into a long-term liquefied natural gas (LNG) sale and purchase agreement (SPA) with BASF. Under the SPA, BASF will purchase up to around 800,000 t/y of LNG from Cheniere Marking on a free-onboard basis for a purchase price indexed to the Henry Hub price, plus a fixed liquefaction fee. The term of the SPA extends through 2043.
