Ahlstrom-Munksjo of Helsinki, Finland, has expanded its FiltEV range of filtration media for use in electric vehicles (EVs). For the filtration of cabin air, Ahlstrom-Munksjo has introduced IA350M4, which is treated with a type of activated carbon that better adsorbs volatile organic compounds (VOCs) for a longer period of time than was previously possible. It can also adsorb sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides. This media is combined with media capable of filtering 75% of sodium chloride particles of 0.5 urn and larger from cabin air. For filtering particles from transmission fluids, Ahlstrom-Munksjo has introduced 17PDL-TAY, a dual-layer wetlaid filter.
