This testimony was presented during the last "spring days". It presents the technical itinerary used at the EARL du Bois d'Arry, consisting of renewing pastureland in Organic Agriculture without ploughing and limiting the duration of non-accessibility of the cows, and with the objective of making a success of the future implantation. The first step is to remove the grassland and then sow a grazeable catch crop in late summer. At the beginning of spring, the catch crop is destroyed and replaced by a prairie mixture under a protein crop cover. Finally, 11 plots with a total of 12.65 ha were renewed in 218 days, without ploughing and without discontinuity of grazing. This represents a production of 4 to 5 t DM (calculated via the Happygrass application) over the fall of 2021 after their reintroduction into the grazing rotation. The duration without grazing was limited to 3 months (versus 12 months with an annual crop) with the same quality of establishment.
