Low cost carrier easyJet prides itself on embedding innovation into its DNA. As far back as 2015, the operator appointed its first head of data science, Alberto Rey Villaverde, to accelerate its use of artificial intelligence (AI) Villaverde's team used AI and advanced data analytics to address and enhance predictive maintenance, resource planning, flight scheduling and easy Jet's loyalty programme.
