Yarn properties can be altered through blending fibres. According to the requirement different properties can be achieved by different blending ratios. Among the different blends cotton and polyester, cotton and wool, wool and acrylic, cotton and nylon, jute and acrylic, cotton and rayon etc. are common. Process parameter is a key factor for any spinning industry. It is also called backbone of industry. In this research work three different ratios like, 50/50, 33/67 and 67/33 cotton/polyester yarns were prepared on ring spinning system. These blends were prepared with draw frame blending. Blended cotton and polyester slivers were produced with 0.12 hank and with this 40Ne yarn count samples were produced. These yarn samples were tested for yarn properties such as: strength, elongation, friction, hairiness, lea strength and shrinkage.
