East Coast India's fantastic frontier Although the deep-water passive margin offshore East India has an exploration history that is littered with remarkable successes with the discovery of many commercial oil and gas fields, (such as the Ravva, D34, Annapurna, Vashishta, KGD6-R, GS-29 oil fields and Mahadani, NEC-25 discoveries) and has been the arena for industry-leading exploration in ultra-deep water, yet the sheer scale and variety of geology on this margin reveals this as one of the least explored prolific basins on Earth.
