摘要

A trend in reducing the weight and consumption of cars leads designers and entire development teams to search for new materials. This paper presents the results of research aimed at determining the mechanical properties of sandwich composites. Two types of sandwiches with different combinations of base materials were used for the analysis of mechanical properties. The composites were made using vacuum bagging and vacuum resin infusion technologies. Carbon and glass cloth was used, and the core of the sandwich was made of aramid honeycomb with a thickness of 3 mm. The matrix consisted of epoxy resin MGS L285. To determine the mechanical properties of the composite, a static tensile test and a bending test according to ISO 527-1 to 4 and ISO 14125 were used. The structural properties of the fracture surface of the composite were analyzed using scanning electron microscope (SEM).
