This one has to do with a trip to the Bahamas, and in my defense the airplane was just a means of getting there. This article is really about the place. When Doug invited me to join him on this trip, I realized it was a chance to see some of the Caribbean Goose country that I'd always heard about. There is such a thing as the natural habitat of an airplane, where the prevailing conditions are matched to its particular capabilities. For the Goose this has historically included places like the southern coast of Alaska, British Columbia, Catalma Island, Iceland and the Caribbean. The only place on this list I hadn't been to was the Caribbean, which needed to be corrected.
