While they machine parts of all materials, they specialize in machining titanium and Inconel, and that soon led them to acquiring their first Wire EDM in 1994. In addition to dozens of CNC mills and lathes, they now utilize five Wire EDM's in their 20,000 square foot facility. Once Day Machine incorporated Wire EDM into their production system, Jim Kostin, the company founder and President, quickly realized that building "homemade" workholding fixtures for their Wire EDM's was a time-wasting distraction from their parts-making business. After a considerable search effort and having been discouraged by the high costs of some brands of Wire EDM tooling, Jim chose the high quality, American made, value-priced tooling from Ram Precision Tool, Inc.
