摘要

Air-atomized spray cooling is a new and efficient thermal management technique for high-power electronic devices. In this study, air-atomized water spray is used to cool a horizontal stainless steel surface. The effect of cooling rate with different parameters such as initial surface temperature, flow rate, and air pressure have been taken into consideration. The rewetting phenomenon under various cooling parameters is captured using a high-speed video camera. Experimental findings and visual analyses indicate that the wetting front velocity increases as the water flow rate increases. Maximum heat transfer rate and rewetting velocity for SS-316 are estimated at 1.7 × 10~5 W/m~2 and 21.36 mm/s, respectively.
