1. South Korean truck drivers ended an eight-day strike that caused disruption in the transport of petrochemicals and other products, reported Argus Media. The strike was in response to the country's plan to remove coverage by the end of the year for drivers working in the container and bulk cement sectors under South Korea's "safe rates" system. The country has agreed to extend the current system and plans to review measures to expand oil subsidies and support for truckers, in view of the recent rise in oil prices.
