At the beginning of the year, on behalf of TACS I wrote a letter of support for listing of a 1955 mural by Hungarian George Mayer-Marton of Christ on the cross in the interior of Holy Rosary RC Church in Oldham. The mural is a glass mosaic piece of exceptional quality and artistry. The building stands empty and is closed for good. Redundant for three years, it is now at risk from developers.
