The Japanese Liquid Crystal Conference Online 2020 was held from 29 to 30 October 2020, organised by the Japanese Liquid Crystal Society. Because of COVID-19, the annual meeting, the Japanese Liquid Crystal Conference originally planned to be held in Nagaoka, was postponed. Instead, the online conference was newly designed, which was the first to be held online organised by the Japanese Liquid Crystal Society. Two hundred and forty-eight attendees participated in the conference, and 118 papers were accepted for discussion, including invited lectures, oral presentations, poster presentations, and tutorials.
