During the corona pandemic, hygiene technology company Livinguard AS, Zug/ Switzerland, became known for its reusable self-disinfecting masks proven to destroy the Covid-19 virus. This technology not only enhances face masks with antimicrobial and antiviral properties, it can also be applied to many other materials and used in numerous areas of daily life. Now, the company is launching its self-disinfecting and odor-free T-shirts and polo shirts. Based on the Livinguard technology, bacteria and viruses are inactivated, i.e. rendered harmless, on the surface of the shirts. The shirts remain hygienically fresh and odor-free for several days. Since the textiles need to be washed less frequently, this saves water, energy and detergent.
