The new board of directors for the Engineering Student Societies' Council of Ontario (ESSCO) held its annual check-in with staff members of PEO's external relations department last month. The 2022-2023 team are facing challenges of returning to in-person events after the two-year COVID-19 pandemic caused the suspension of many ESSCO events or transitioned them to a virtual environment. "A lot of our team is brand new to ESSCO, and with the process of going in-person for the first time, it's been a little bit of an experience," reported ESSCO's president, Anjaliya Sonnilal, a systems science engineering graduate student at the University of Ottawa. "Our current team has been working to try to see where we stand as an organization and where we'd like to go."
