BAe Hawk T.1 XX226 has been rebuilt and restored by Yorkshire-based specialists Jet Art Aviation (JAA), and is now available for sale to museums or as a training aid. The jet, which has the distinction of having served with both the RAF and Royal Navy, is the first Hawk to be completed by JAA. Having first flown in 1978, it was disposed of by the MoD in 2017 along with XX290 and XX175 after being in storage at RAF Shawbury for several years. All three were acquired by JAA in October 2020, but it has taken 14-months to source the missing components to complete work on XX226.
